I admit that prettier shakes have been blended - this one doesn't quite make it on photogenic scores, but as far as protein goes, it's rocking the grades.
This shake gets its protein oomph from tofu and milk, and to a lesser extent, from cashew nuts. There's a bit of fruit and a little honey for sweetness.
Tofu and guava smoothie
Serves 1, Protein: 18 g, Calories: 266*
50 g firm tofu
1 small guava
8 g chopped cashew nuts
250 ml skim milk
1/2 tsp honey
Combine in blender. Jam the buttons until smooth.
The taste was lovely - although I couldn't really taste the cashew nuts, they blended in really well. The guava worked well with tofu. Wish I had deseeded the fruit though...
