Fast food can be healthy too

In the time it takes to dig out a home delivery menu, listen to bad recorded voices telling you how important your call is, and to finish placing your order, you could make this dosa from scratch.

It's true. This dosa recipe takes approximately 7 minutes from opening jars to your first bite.

Ingredients (makes 4 dosas for 2 people)

1 cup quick oats
1 cup spring onions, chopped roughly
1/4 cup yogurt (I used skim milk yogurt)
Salt to taste
3/4 cup water


Put everything into a blender and blend into a puree. About 30 seconds at a reasonably fast speed should do it.

If not, go a few seconds over.

It will look like this.

Now pour 1/4 cup of this slightly unattractive batter on a hot, lightly oiled griddle. Spread using a circular motion into a circle. Or the map of a country. Or a mutant comet (like the one I inadvertently made.

When brown, flip over and cook the other side lightly.
